It's Snow, OK

It's Snow, OK

Today the city of Seattle is covered in more sun than they have seen here in quite some time. Most of the streets are like battlefields and the whole city is struggling to recover. My wife and I are holding our breath. The kids are coming for Christmas and the Sea-Tac airport has several thousand people waiting to get a flight out. The storm is ruining many people’s holiday and we are praying that it won’t ruin ours.

Our good friends next door headed out for the airport on Saturday evening and arrived only to discover that their flight had just been cancelled. They had the choice of staying at the airport and hoping to get on the next available flight to the east coast, which was estimated to be not for three days, or to cancel their plans to see their families and stay home. We feel just a little bit guilty in the fact that they are staying here and we will get to spend time with them when our family arrives. At this point I would like to offer my sincere condolences to their families.

The snow has stopped falling and we are watching the weather reports rather closely. Tuesday evening around ten o’clock they should be arriving.

Here is to hoping that your holiday plans are not disturbed. It is great to have family and friends around for Christmas.

Merry Christmas

Still Snowing in Seattle

Looking at neighbors house

Looking at neighbors house

Still snowing here in Seattle this evening. It’s supposed to turn into an ice and snow mix by tomorrow morning.

We are safe and warm inside with plenty of provisions.

I think I might roast a chicken tomorrow.

I hope everyone is safe and sound. I hope the weather clears up before next week.

Merry Christmas

It Snowed

It's Just Snow

It's Just Snow

This week we got a little bit of snow here in the great northwest. Somewhere between 4 to 8 inches I would guess. It depended on where you lived.

It did not snow much in North Carolina when we lived there.

It snowed a lot in the place I grew up. Pennsylvania gets more snow and it’s colder.

I’m glad I live where I do now but it wouldn’t surprise me if I moved again someday.

Merry Christmas
